Maybe not all around the world, but here are some of the finest films from outside the US. This showcase runs approximately 120 minutes and includes all of the films listed on the page with time afterwards for Q&A with filmmakers.

Inspired by the incredible true story of Just who lost both of his legs in a childhood accident. Just meets Ieva and they start a flirty conversation that is interrupted by two thieves, who rob Ieva. In the blink of an eye Just decides to follow the thieves to retrieve Ieva’s bag and conquer her heart.

Fugit

Drama • Spain • 15 Minutes

Carles travels by car with his teenage son, Pol. An unexpected incident will change the course of their lives.

Siren

Drama • Japan • 17 minutes

Abbas, an Arab immigrant, breaks into the room of Toyoshige, a Japanese old man, in the sudden wail of siren. Then Abbas storms out of the door, carrying Toyoshige piggyback. As they go down the stairs, the film reveals their day-to-day lives and shows their prejudices and misunderstandings.

The Red Case

Drama • France • 29 minutes

Sarah is a young nurse who loves jazz. When a mysterious musician she sees in the street gets admitted in her hospital, she suddenly feels the need to take care of him. But her new patient seems to be more preoccupied by his missing red case than his own health.

Drama • Germany • 22 minutes

For almost a decade Kenya has been targeted by terrorist attacks of the Al-Shabaab. An atmosphere of anxiety and mistrust between Muslims and Christians is growing. Until in December 2015, Muslim bus passengers showed that solidarity can prevail.
